11th Annual Project J.O.Y.
Thanksgiving 2020

2020 was a tumultuous year~ a year full of fear and loss. We saw a full- blown pandemic scourge our nation, taking with it loss of life, peace of mind, and for many folks, loss of jobs, bringing financial worries. BUT, the community came together in the spirit of friendship and service, and made Project J.O.Y. a successful event, once again. We may have had temperature checks, waivers, and masks (oh my!), but with God, all things are possible. Volunteers braved the fear, gave of their holiday time, and joined together to brighten the holiday for community members most in need of tangible proof of love and friendship. So, thank you all, the tall and the small, YOU brought comfort to so many. Project J.O.Y. is a community effort, and you all have, in the toughest of recent times, shown the love Christ by being His hands and feet.

About Project J.O.Y.

Project J.O.Y. (Jesus. Others. Yourself) was founded in 2009 by Rose and Eugene Moon. Their wish to bring comfort to their community led them to establish Project J.O.Y. as a Thanksgiving Day luncheon open to all Hall County residents. Over the last 10 years, the annual event has grown from serving a small group to serving over 1,000 meals in 2019. While there has been a change in leadership, the organization continues to grow. With God's blessings, we will continue to spread His love and peace to our fellow Hall County neighbors for years to come.

Our Partners

Project J.O.Y. would like to express our appreciation to all of our many sponsors, donors, and volunteers for their generous contributions and service.

In addition to our named donors and sponsors, there are numerous donors who wish to remain anonymous. We have also been blessed with hundreds of volunteers who have donated their time in a multitude of ways.

We are grateful for the support of the community and know that this event would not be possible without all of those involved.
